Case studies
My work is always tailored to the unique needs of each client, often taking unexpected paths. Below are a few real-life examples that illustrate what I do.
01
Empowering civic initiatives in a restrictive environment*
Over the course of a nearly 18 months, I partnered with a well-known humanitarian organization to support nine civic initiatives operating in a country with increasingly restrictive government policies. These organizations, ranging from human rights and LGBTQ+ groups to art collectives, faced significant challenges, partly related to the tightening control over civil society activities.
Our collaboration began with an evaluation of each organization’s capacity, using tools like the Organizational Capacity Assessment Tool (OCAT). Through a series of intensive, 4-5 day workshops—some held in person and others online—we worked together to develop strategies that would strengthen their resilience and adaptability. The process was highly customized, addressing the unique needs and contexts of each organization. Based on the needs defined in our work and the strategies developed in the process, participating initiatives received grants to support their organizational development.
A key milestone in this project was a large conference that brought together all nine organizations, providing a platform for sharing experiences and best practices. Additionally, we conducted a training-of-trainers course, which empowered these organizations to continue disseminating the skills and knowledge they had gained throughout the broader community.
Despite the increasingly difficult circumstances in their country, most of these organizations have managed to continue their work, even if more discreetly. Several initiatives received international recognition and awards for their contributions in their respective fields. The project not only helped them survive in a challenging environment but also laid the groundwork for their long-term sustainability.

Collaborating with Logic Gate on business development strategy
Much of my work has been with civil society, driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact. However, I strongly believe in the pivotal role that privately and family-owned businesses play in shaping the world we live in. They are, in many ways, the “salt of the earth”.

So, when Logic Gate—a small, family-owned business specializing in interactive exhibits for science centers—approached me to facilitate a strategic workshop, I was excited by the opportunity. Their work in making science accessible and engaging, particularly for young people, is both impactful and inspiring. Yet, they faced challenges in scaling their operations and stabilizing their market presence.
During our one-day workshop, we took a deep dive into their operations, exploring their strengths and uncovering areas for improvement. Together, we redefined roles within the team and brainstormed innovative strategies for growth. This collaborative effort resulted in a comprehensive business development plan. In the end, it turned out to be an important step in a major restructuring of the company.
Today, Logic Gate continues to grow, steadily taking on larger projects and expanding its reach in a competitive market. Our work together was an important step towards this success, enabling them to navigate their challenges with renewed clarity and purpose.

Supporting Belarusian NGO* in change process
A Belarusian human rights organization was established in exile, following the 2020 presidential elections. Comprised of individuals unable to return, the organization finaly settled in Warsaw.
Upon their arrival in Poland, the organization faced a series of significant challenges. Establishing themselves in a new country with limited local connections was difficult, and they worked to determine the best ways to serve their core audience of exiled Belarusians. Additionally, they needed to find ways to build bridges with Polish civil society to further their mission.

Internally, the organization was grappling with several issues that hampered their effectiveness. Challenges in building an effective management system led to inefficiencies, while the team was dealing with burnout and interpersonal tensions that further strained their operations.

To address these challenges, we conducted a two-day team coaching session, supplemented by several online meetings before and after the workshop. During these sessions, we identified the core issues plaguing the organization and worked through the communication and interpersonal challenges. Once these foundational issues were resolved, we moved on to an evaluation and planning phase, where we collaboratively defined the next steps. These steps are now being implemented, guiding the organization toward greater stability and effectiveness.

I hold deep respect for this organization. Their resilience and dedication continue to inspire as they navigate these turbulent times.
